Stellar Manual

Stellar keeps the desktop app simple: choose a line, turn the connection on, then decide whether only proxy-aware apps or the whole computer should use Stellar.

Daily use

• Switch line: open Line, choose another location, and Stellar reconnects automatically.
• Browser only: leave PC Mode off and use HTTP mode, or configure the browser with the proxy values below.
• Whole computer: use PC Mode when an app ignores system proxy settings or is not a browser.
• Custom rules: open Proxy Rules to add domains that should always proxy or always bypass.

Local proxy values

• HTTP: 127.0.0.1:8668
• SOCKS5: 127.0.0.1:1080
• Shared HTTP proxy: enable sharing in the tray/menu, then use the local IP and port shown by Stellar.

Good defaults

• New users: HTTP Allowlist.
• Apps that ignore the system proxy: PC Allowlist or PC Global.
• Development work: PC Developer mode when you need most traffic proxied but local/work domains direct.
• Manual browser extensions or CLI proxy variables: HTTP Transparent.
